ÞINGVELLIR B1a on an interesting philatelic cover from 1953 that also has a clear impression of numeral cancel "172" on the front. Addressed to the United States.
Unusual ship mail cover sent to the FAROE ISLANDS in 1939, presumably mailed at portside in Reykjavik (from a Reykjavik merchant). The relatively unusual franking of a single 20 aur NYWF cancelled with a THORSHAVN Klipfisk slogan CDS with the boxed "Paquebot" ship letter handstamp from Thorshavn alongside. The cover slightly reduced at left.
Beautiful unaddressed first day cover (FDC) with a complete set of the Jón Sigurðsson issue of 1944. The cover sent by registered mail from ÞINGVELLIR / THINGVELLIR to Sweden, British censorship handstamp on front.
291 (Fjörður), unusual unfranked Official "Símamál" cover sent from the Telegraph office at FJÖRDUR to the region's main office at Króksfjardarnes. Some scribbling on the front (calculations). This cancellation is VERY RARE ON COVER.
Airmail cover with a scarcer franking sent registered to Sweden in 1962. The cover returned to Iceland with a number of different return markings on both sides.
