VÖLLUR on a 5 aur postal card dated at Eyvindarholt 5.12.88, the card sent via Reykjavik to Akureyri. The value stamp of the card which had not been annuled at Völlur cancelled while in transit in Reykjavik and an arrival cancel applied in Akureyri. The VÖLLUR cancellation is very rare even as a transit cancellation and when come accross the strikes tend to be very faint.

HESTUR C1 on a very well preserved and beautiful cover franked with a single 10 aur stamp in perf 14, sent to a farm on Vatnsleysuströnd in 1896. Two strikes of the cancellation, one on the stamp and a second alongside. Transit cacelled in Reykjavik on back. Certificate by Carl Aage Møller. One of only three covers known with this cancellation.

Unusually franked registered cover sent with the Graf Zeppelin on its flight from Iceland in 1931. The franking consisting of a complete set of three overprint stamps where the 30 aur value is in block of four. The cover has been forwarded to the addressee in Denmark after returning to Germany.
