An extremely rare DOUBLE OVERPRINT of small "þrír" overprint on 5 aurar stamp in perf 13 that has also been overprinted with the digit "3". The stamp is not without flaws as can clearly be seen in the picture, however THE SAME APPLIES TO ALL OTHER KNOWN COPIES OF THIS VARIETY. All known copies with such a double overprint most likely originate from the same sheet, and all of them, like this particular copy, are STAMPED at SEYÐISFJÖRÐUR. The stamp comes from the exhibition collection of Johnny Pernerfors. The variety is star-marked in Facit due to rarity.

"ii in stead of u" in the word "aur" (missing the connecting bit between the two standing bits of the letter) in the overprint of the upper left stamp in a NEVER HINGED corner marginal block of four of 20/40 aur Two Kings. The stamps are unusually well centered for this stamp (as well as the underlying 40 aur Two Kings stamp), which are usually in quite terrible centering. Facit only for four normal stamps is 2.000.

"The letters M & E connected" in the word "FRÍMERKI" on the left side of the lower right stamp in a block of four of the red 10 aur Christian X value. The block of four with sheet marginal from the lower left corner with the printing number (paper number) No 143-Z, NEVER HINGED. This variety is one of the very few listed for the Christian X issue in the Facit catalogue.
