AEROPLANE CRASH OF HRÍMFAXI in Oslo on April 14, 1963. A Cover sent from the UK that was on its way from Copenhagen with HRÍMFAXI, a Vickers Viscount aircraft of Flugfélag Íslands, en route to Bergen for the planned flight to Iceland. The plane crashed about 4 kilometers from Fornebu Airport in Oslo, a total of 12 people died in the accident, the plane's 5-person crew as well as all 7 passengers. The cover, which was saved from the wreckage, was finally delivered to the recipient in Iceland with an attached typewritten message from the Post Office in Reykjavík. SUCH ITEMS FROM CRASHES OF ICELANDIC AEROPLANES ARE VERY RARELY ON THE MARKET.
