1901 - Iceland - 40 - Cover

HRAFNAGIL C1 very beautiful on 10 aur postal stationery card sent to Germany in 1901. Transit cancelled in Reykjavik and arrival cancelled in Germany on front. This card is one of only two items on which this extremely rare cancellation is known, the other one being a similar card, the cancellation is not known on loose stamp. In our opinion this card is one of the most important pieces of Icelandic postal history.
